The Travellin’ Strings fundraising for Foodbank

22nd September 2016

We are very happy to announce that the Travellin’ Strings, an acoustic guitar and vocal group from the local area, are playing a fantastic set at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Centre on the 30th September, all in aid of funds for Foodbank!

The group play songs from the 1950s onwards that they love to play and you’ll love to sing along to. They strum for fun and normally can be seen around town raising money for The Alzheimer’s Society, but they also support local causes and events. This evening they will be visiting Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Centre (which is also a Foodbank distribution point) to raise money to help us feed local people in need. Fundraisers such as this help us to plan ahead and be sustainable in the future, so that people can get the support they need, when they need it!

You can find out more about the Travellin’ Strings on their website or check them out on YouTube. Tickets are £5 and are available from The Well, Trafford Street, Farnworth during Foodbank opening hours or on the door. The event starts at 7.15pm on Friday, 30th September at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Centre, Plodder Lane, Farnworth, Bolton BL4 0BR (please be aware, parking is limited).
